There are some people who are so delusional that, even when the walls are closing in around them, continue to blindly believe everything is alright. They refuse to acknowledge or accept reality - right up until the moment it claims their lives.
I remember in America there were many, many stories about this exact same thing in terms of Covid. I believe many people sort of downvote games like these because it speaks to a part of their soul they refuse to acknowledge -- whispering to a truth that they don't want to face.
This game is short , but truly thought provoking -- even if you don't "get it". It stays with you and marinates until you get that epiphany -- or you dismiss it because it subconsciously makes you uneasy.

Nice little game, good job! ( 6th game)
Honestly, I went into this game not knowing too much about it. Despite the experience being so short, I enjoyed it! Very creative concept :)
(ps if you want to see some gameplay, it begins ~9:14 in my video!)
Nice spacebar simulator thing
My take is that the "purpose" is pretty deep.
